From Concept to Construction

Some renovation projects require drawings, permits, engineering or municipal approval before construction starts. Compire helps coordinate the full planning package so construction can begin with a clear scope and approved plan.

Whether you're designing a legal secondary suite, building a basement layout, reconfiguring a kitchen, adding a side entrance or planning a multi-trade commercial fit-out, the upfront planning package sets the tone for the entire project. Compire helps coordinate the documents and approvals that allow work to start cleanly and stay on track.

Our role is to coordinate the right professionals for each project. Where required, we engage qualified designers, architectural technologists or engineers to produce drawings that meet the Ontario Building Code and the applicable municipality's submission requirements. We then coordinate permit applications, inspection scheduling and on-site trade sequencing.

Appropriate qualified professionals are coordinated where required. Compire does not represent itself as an architect, engineer or licensed designer unless that information is specifically confirmed in writing for the relevant project.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need drawings for my renovation?
Many renovations benefit from drawings — particularly any work involving layout changes, plumbing, electrical, structural modifications or permit applications.
Will Compire work with my designer or architect?
Yes. If you already have a designer or architect, we coordinate our scope with their drawings. Where required we coordinate qualified professionals for engineering, design and permit packages.
Who submits the permit application?
Permit applications are typically submitted by the homeowner or by a qualified representative. We coordinate the documents, drawings and inspection schedule required for a complete submission.
